Bruno Pavlovsky, president of Chanel’s luxury goods division said customers could expect Chanel finally launch its e-commerce business in late 2016. Not revealing much about the categories that would be sold online he did confirm that the website could launch as soon as next year. Previously reluctant to venture into the world of online sales he said, “While this step is unlikely to impact upon the number of shoppers in stores, it could well open the door to a whole new set of more digitally-savvy (or time-poor) customers. “It’s not so much a shift, It’s an evolution to better serve our customers.
