For the first time in seven years ‘New york fashion week’ will not have an automotive sponsor. Mercedes which has been associated with the ‘fashion week’ since 2009 has dropped out this year. The main reason for the fallout in the partnership are the shift in the general marketing approaches of automobile companies who prefer to rather associate their brand with fashion ideals like Victoria Beckham or Stella Mccartney instead.
