The documentary film ‘True cost‘ opening this Friday 29th May takes the viewer through the hard hitting bitter truth about the ‘fast fashion industry’. Scenes of devastation like a garment factory collapse leaving thousands dead can make the you question and renounce your choice of cheap clothing . Brands like H&M , Zara, Forever 21 are shown to outsource their clothing from ‘sweatshops’ in Asia which have low wage workers working in horrible conditions. It also points to the ill effects of ‘Fast Fashion’ on their health and the environment. The documentary blames the in-just phenomenon on the greedy capitalist nature of the American economy.
