Clearly there is a huge demand for larger sizes of lingerie, as many plus size women have been continually signing petitions for retailers to take action about this issue. “My money and my credit are good enough for them, but the fact that I can only buy items like perfume, lotion, and body spray sends the message that my body is not”, said one of the authors of the petition. Brittany Cordts who is a plus size model has launched a petition too, to raise awareness against the negative impact on women and teens about having a certain unrealistic body type.
